This is an 8 hour, challenging course that will allow riders to learn how to better handle their personal motorcycle on the road and at slow speeds. This program will incorporate the techniques learned and mastered by police motorcycle officers, and will improve the riding abilities of even the most seasoned rider. At the end of the course, participants will receive a successful completion certificate, as well as a refined skill set and newfound confidence.
This is a 4 hour, advanced course that will better prepare riders anticipate hazardous road situations and react to them quickly, safely, and effectively. This program will incorporate techniques learned and mastered by police motor officers, and will improve the riding abilities even the most seasoned operator. At the end the course, participants will receive a completion certificate as well as a refined skill set and new found confidence. Some of the exercises practiced in this course include: Straight line braking, breaking in a curve, rear and crash avoidance, 30 MPH weave, swerving, and more!
PRECISION & CONTROL
This is an 4 hour, advanced course that will better prepare riders to handle their motorcycles with precision and control at slow speeds and in confined spaces, such as crowded parking lots, limited space turnarounds, and slow moving traffic.This program will incorporate techniques learned and mastered by police motor officers, and will improve the riding abilities even the most seasoned operator. At the end the course, participants will receive a completion certificate as well as a refined skill set and new found confidence. Some of the exercises practiced in this course include: Double 360, Iron Cross, Offset Weave, Slow Cones, and more!
Bobby Hatcher • Instructor
Bobby Hatcher is a U.S. Air Force veteran and has been in law enforcement since 2000. He is currently employed as a full-time detective with a North Carolina Police Department and served on the Traffic Enforcement Unit for six years riding a Police Motor. Bobby has enjoyed teaching the skill of riding to officers and to civilians as a Bikesafe N.C. assessor. He is certified in traffic crash reconstruction and has investigated hundreds of vehicle and motorcycle crashes to determine their cause.
He believes most of the motorcycle crashes could have been avoided with basic knowledge and skills every rider should have. He wants to pass these basic skills along to civilians to improve their safety. He has a background in riding several different makes and types of motorcycles and his personal favorites are adventure bikes.
